Lynn Gibbons-Beddow & Lisa Hannah
The Western Region winner is Lisa Hannah, nominated by Lynn Gibbons-Beddow of Haywood Community College in Clyde, NC.

Ms. Hannah is the mother of two young girls, Kassie and Faith. Having grown up in low-income families, she and her husband have struggled to provide a better future for their family. Lisa entered college to be the best possible role model for her daughters, to show by example that they can achieve any goal they wish to pursue, and to acquire an education to better provide for her family materially. She is enrolled in the Telecommunication Networking Engineer Program with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering. Her ultimate goal is to pursue a master’s degree in engineering.
