2008-2009 Faculty Grants Available
Every year the North Carolina Community College Faculty Association provides up to $1000 in Faculty Grants to one or more community college instructors in each of three regions. The grant may be for the full $1000 or, if the projects can be completed for lower costs, the grant funds are disbursed for two or more projects in a region. Proceeds from sale of NCCCFA merchandise help fund the Faculty Grants.
Grants are designed to fund projects developed and implemented by instructors to enhance the education of community college students in the state. These funds are to be used for innovative projects for which no other funding is available. The grant is to cover the cost of materials / needs for a project that improve or enlarge the classroom for the students. Grants are not provided to directly pay the instructor(s) or to fund research or course development.
The application process is very simple. Applications are due by April 30, 2008.
